Commission for the Blind
LEGAL NOTICE The Commission for the Blind will hold a virtual town forum by Zoom on Friday, August 28, 2020. The meeting will be held from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The purpose is to gather comments on the policies and procedures by which the Commission provides vocational rehabilitation services. The Commission will also be taking comments on proposed changes to the Commission for the Blind Act, which would expand the Commission board from three members to 5 or 7 members, require that a majority of the members be blind, change the persons who can determine legal blindness to include health professionals in addition to ophthalmologists, eliminate the registry of blind persons, and add language transferring duties from the State Rehabilitation Council to the expanded Commission for the Blind board.
